It is time for a break from life so we headed to the library with the idea that we would just check it out. To my amazement the documents I had allowed us to get library cards. I’m so thrilled can’t tell you. Samuel enjoyed his break.
This is half of the children’s section and it has a great space. They have a cute puppet theater set up with changing scenery and cute little puppets.
Samuel enjoyed entertaining his mom while he waited for his sister’s to wade through the many selections available in the young adult section. We’ve so missed this particular resource that it felt like coming home. I’m excited that the library system is comparable to the Carnegie Libraries of Pittsburgh. The best is friendly librarians that are willing to help.
While libraries may be old hat to some, it has been 4 years since we had access to one. I couldn’t imagine my life without a library for that long but we survived. While this is our first trip it definitely won’t be our last. They have so many guest speakers that volunteer their time to come and share their expertise. I nope to take advantage of the Library Nature Fun event that they hold along with a few others.
Did you know that most libraries get their funding based on the number and kind of books checked out? It is worth the trip to get a library card to support this wonderful resource. Don’t take it for granted that it will always be there.
