Determination: Made to Crave

This picture exemplifies what determination meant to me this week.

After setting my goals, my body started fighting a respiratory virus which worked its way… well you get the picture.  My fitness plan included fitness 5 days a week with a minimum of 30 minutes along with this some changes in my food plan.  I was determined not to let this stop me.  So every day in the  afternoon I went out for a walk, accompanied by dogs or my children.  It always seemed like a really bad idea according to my lungs but in the end I could breathe better and clearer for a period of time.  The blessing of having a week of moderate 40-50 degree temps helped greatly.

Eating plan is to track the way I eat through an app Myfitnesspal.com  My focus was balance and decreasing the amount of refined sugars I ate and increasing the amount of fiber.  I did really well and made progress.  I noticed that on the days I had less fiber in my diet were also the days that I struggled the most with cravings.  That correlation would have been as apparent without the work to track the numbers each day.

Spiritual plan would be the most difficult as it is something I’ve struggled with on a personal level Embrace my identity.  I have some affirmations that I read every day.

Our challenge this week included over ruling the excuses that we make to not do the things we know we need to do.  Clearly defining my purpose and plan has helped tremendously.   What excuses do you need to over rule in your life today?  This is a question that I’m going to ask myself every morning.  Then I’m going to put down my gavel and say Excuses are over ruled!

I am the queen of excuses. I am trying to stick to my plan too. It is hard while traveling and staying at a hotel. Praying for your journey!

Great job on getting it done no matter what the circumstances and what else is going on! Hope you are feeling better and getting those excuses “Overruled” every day! Thanks for sharing!
