Textured Art – Group Activity

For this activity, we collected a variety of things with texture; leaves, sand, sea shells, glue, flower petals etc.  Then we mixed them with paint or put them on our pictures when the paint was still wet. or just glued them into our pictures as the kids would like.

A unique texture was adding white glue into the paint of your choice then using a fork to make the paint have ridges and swirls that stayed.  Floam was another unique texture but not something that typically thrills me as a product of choice.  It is weird, texture wise and the way you work with it.

The kids had fun and it was interesting to see the way they used the different materials.
